2026 CE Requirements Breakdown

The current CE cycle (April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2026) requires two distinct components to be completed by the March 31, 2026 deadline:

1. Mandatory Conduct CE Course

This course must be taken through a FSRA-accredited provider (CMBA, MPC, or REMIC).

  • Mortgage Agents (Level 1 & 2): Must complete a 5-hour Conduct CE course.
  • Mortgage Brokers: Must complete a 7-hour Conduct CE course.
  • Note: Providers report this completion directly to FSRA on your behalf.

2. Technical Knowledge / Professional Development (Professional CE)

  • All Licensees (Agents & Brokers): Must complete an additional 10 hours of professional education.
  • Topics: Must relate to technical aspects of mortgage brokering (e.g., fraud prevention, AML, cybersecurity, or mortgage suitability).
  • Record Keeping: You are responsible for documenting these hours and keeping certificates on file for 4 years.

Action Required Immediately

  1. Complete your courses: Register with an accredited provider as soon as possible to avoid the “last-minute” rush which may delay your licensing link. Once completed please send your certificates to compliance@gopineapple.com
  2. Verify your profile: Ensure your legal name and license number on your course registration match your FSRA license exactly.
  3. Watch for your link: Once Conduct CE is reported, look for an email from elicence@fsrao.ca containing your unique renewal link to the email address you have registered with FSRA.

Failure to complete these hours by March 31, 2026, will result in your license being non-renewable, and you will be unable to deal in mortgages in Ontario.
